The 2011 GMBC Century Day will take place on Sunday,
September 18th. The meeting time is 7:30am at the
dirt parking area just east of the intersection of Dorset and Swift
Streets in So. Burlington. This is also the parking location.
Please, NO PARKING at Cairns Arena unless directed to park there!
Three separate rides
will take place, all following
the same route for the first 25 miles with a food stop in Bristol. The
Metric Century is 62 miles (for experienced riders, 16mph avg.) via Bristol and Vergennes. The full
Century is 100 miles (for strong riders) traveling down to the Crown Point Bridge and
returning through the Champlain Valley. Those looking for an extra
challenge can do the Double Gap Century which is 113 miles (for strong
riders) and includes
the Middlebury and Appalachian Gaps.
