Practice Crits

GMBC holds a practice criterium race series that is sanctioned by USA Cycling. The crit series runs from late spring to mid-August, on Tuesday evenings. In 2016 all races were on Watertower Hill in Colchester, Vermont.
There are three races (A, B and C) and your USAC racing category will determine which race you can enter. The C race is an introductory race for riders looking to get their feet a little wet and see what riding a crit is about. Experienced racers ride the C race with new riders and give racing tips and encouragement!
Helmets are required and your USCF license must be shown at registration. Non-licensed riders may purchase a one-day ($15) or annual license ($70) on site.
Riders who compete during the season will be asked to help marshal intersections — all will have to help out so we can have a race series!

The 2017 Practice Crit schedule will be posted in Events in early spring when dates are confirmed. All races are on Tuesday evenings. Usually 8 races are scheduled.

Questions? Please contact the series coordinator Andre Sturm.
