Racing

The Green Mountain Bicycle Club supports and encourages competitive cycling opportunities in Vermont. We have our own Time Trial series every Thursday evening all summer long open to all club members. No entry fee or racing license is required. We also have a Tuesday evening Criterium series (USA Cycling seasonal or day license required). Group training rides offer riders of different levels the opportunity to ride with others of similar ability.

Team 1K2Go works with youth (age 6-8) junior (age 9-18) riders, both male and female who are interested in getting involved with bike racing as well as U23, senior and master’s racers. Contact Bobby for more information.

GMBC members participate in and volunteer for local USACycling racing including the Killington Stage Race and the Green Mountain Stage Race which includes the club’s own Burlington Criterium. Volunteers for assistance with the Burlington Criterium are always welcome! Members also help with and compete in the Vermont and National Senior Games Bicycle Road Races.

GMBC has regular training rides that include racers and non-racers on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturdays during the riding season.
