The Green Mountain Bicycle Club supports and encourages competitive cycling opportunities in Vermont. We have our own Time Trial series every Thursday evening all summer long. No entry fee or racing license is required, although every participant must complete a GMBC Rider Waiver once each season. We also have a Tuesday evening Criterium series (USA Cycling seasonal or day license required). Group training rides offer riders of different levels the opportunity to ride with others of similar ability.

Jackalope-Northeast jerseys

Many GMBC members ride for the race team Jackalope Northeast Cycling and those jerseys are often prominent at the TT and criterium races. Jackalope Northeast Cycling focuses on growing community, building relationships, and of course, racing bicycles be they road, mountain, cross or gravel. Being a member of this team means being supported and being supportive. Goals are set individually, but achieved together.

GMBC members participate in and volunteer for local USA Cycling racing including the Killington Stage Race and the Green Mountain Stage Race which includes the club’s own Burlington Criterium. Volunteers for assistance with the Burlington Criterium are always welcome! Members also help with and compete in the Vermont and National Senior Games Bicycle Road Races. GMBC has regular training rides that include racers and non-racers on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturdays during the riding season.
