Kirby Mtn Gravel Ride and Gravel/Mountain Bike Weekend

Come to the Northeast Kingdom for a weekend of gravel and/or mountain biking. Ride Leaders will be there from Thursday to Monday night, so folks can stay for just Friday and/or Saturday night or arrive earlier/stay later. First come first served for reserving a spot inside Tom and Pat’s house in Lyndonville. (Please vaccinated folks only!) Or there is plenty of camping in the yard. After the ride, drinks at the Tiki Bar! Breakfast at Cafe Lotti — best bacon ever! Potluck BBQ at Pat and Tom’s Saturday night.
There will be one formal GMBC gravel ride. Chances to do other gravel rides and/or mountain bike at Kingdom Trails before it closes for the season.
Kirby Mountain Gravel Ride – Class 2-4 route over Kirby Mountain to one of the most beautiful valleys in the Northeast Kingdom and beyond. Two variations to get there – one via more class 4 road. Then both travel along the lovely (pretty flat!) River Road to Gallup Mills and then up over Victory back to 114 and East Burke.

This event is free! Donations to RTF greatly appreciated. GMBC is organizing the event, and RTF will provide post-ride burgers, brats, and soft drinks as a thank you for all the support we have received from the cycling community. BYOB if you want to celebrate with a beer or two – bring extra to share and celebrate as we shift from the outdoor riding season to skiing (and perhaps fat biking) in our wonderful state of Vermont.

Meet at 9:30 at Jasper Mine Road for an informal ride. Route and distance will be determined by those who show up.
Informal touring ride. Touring rides in April and October do not have assigned leaders, do not have a planned route and do not require advance sign-ups (because no one is “in charge”. Due to often unpredictable weather during those months, distance and route is determined by whomever shows up. Only the start/meeting site is predetermined. There may be one or more groups and/or destinations.
