COVID-19 update: 27 March 2021

GMBC is looking forward to having a more normal ride schedule this year. That said, Covid-19 safety practices will remain in force until the VT State of Health says otherwise. Intro rides, touring Rides, VP-Saturday rides, Tuesday training rides, and time trials will be posted on the Events calendar as the schedules are prepared. The status of practice crits and Wednesday evening rides are still in discussion. Please do NOT attend rides if you feel ill. All participants must register on-line for Covid-19 contact tracing purposes. Links to the appropriate Covid attestation form will be posted on the GMBC list serve and Events calendar for each ride.

Please see the Events page for additional information on altered ride protocols.

Welcome to the website for the Green Mountain Bicycle Club, the oldest and largest cycling club in Vermont! Our membership includes touring riders, racers, and commuters from beginners to experts. During the cycling season we organize regular training and recreational rides and club races (time trials and criteriums). GMBC takes sharing the road and responsible riding & driving seriously and asks that drivers and bicyclists work together to make roads a safer place. GMBC was founded in the winter of 1970/71 and typically has close to 400 members annually. We would love have you join us on ride!

Our mission:

* Promote cycling for fitness and friendship
* Encourage safe, courteous riding practices
*Organize weekly recreational rides, training rides and competitive events
* Engage in bicycling advocacy at the state and local level

Membership is not required for participation in club events, however membership has benefits and is appreciated. Membership information.

All participants, regardless of membership category must sign a GMBC waiver once per season.
