Stone Walls and Solar Panels

St. Thomas Church of Underhill
Address: 6 Green St, Underhill Center, VT 05490, USA

Please register for this ride here.

This scenic 30-mile (M) ride goes from Underhill to Cambridge on mostly dirt and gravel roads past a myriad of old stone walls and not so old solar panels. Our midway point is the store at the end of Upper Pleasant Valley Road in Cambridge. If there is sufficient interest, at the end of the ride we can add an extra eight miles roundtrip to Poorhouse Pies in Underhill to share a delicious treat.

Meeting Place: St. Thomas Church of Underhill, 6 Green Street

Start at the Park-n-Ride in Hinesburg and head south on rolling gravel hills. These are mainly very quiet roads with little traffic! To cut the ride short, there is an easy mid-point turn around where the route touches. Post-ride food is abundant in this part of Hinesburg--stop at Frost Brewery for a cold can of après brew.

Long ride: 41 miles, 3,140 ft elevation; short ride: 22.8 miles
