30, 60, 80, and 100 mile cycling routes along the northern shores of Lake Champlain supporting the efforts of the Friends of Northern Lake Champlain, clean water advocates.     64 mile (M) rolling hills from Shelburne through Vergennes and on to Weybridge. There are a number of food options in Vergennes for either the outgoing or return trip or both.

    The hilly 41-mile loop (M) goes through Eden and Johnson, while the 55-mile ride (M/S) passes more covered bridges in Montgomery Center, returning through Bakersfield.

    Where to Start, Park, and Ride

    • Parking/Start – In the field below the Old Round Church in Richmond (see map). Do not park on the paved road next to the Round Church
    • Rides vary. Links to some routes are listed below but become familiar with the roads beforehand in case of separation from the group. If you decide to drop out or change your route, let someone know beforehand.

    The 41-mile route has lots of dirt and very little traffic. It travels on Sherman Hollow, Gilman, State Prison and Big Hollow Roads. There are some falls on State Prison Road. Riders tour through the towns of Richmond, Huntington, Hinesburg, Monkton and Starksboro.

    Please contact Brian if you are able to co-lead this ride.

    Route is available to GMBC members on Ride with GPS. A pdf cue sheet will be attached when it becomes available.

    Parking at Volunteer's Green on Bridge St. in Richmond. Additional parking in the Richmond Post Office.
