30, 60, 80, and 100 mile cycling routes along the northern shores of Lake Champlain supporting the efforts of the Friends of Northern Lake Champlain, clean water advocates.     The Friends of Northern Lake Champlain together with the Franklin County mountain bike club are putting on a gravel ride in northern Franklin County September 30. The ride will start and end at the Choiniere farm trails, 3550 Gore Rd., Highgate Center. Vermont. There will be a 43 mile and a 17 mile loop.     Meet at 9:30 at Folsom School for an informal ride. Route and distance will be determined by those who show up.

    Informal touring ride. Touring rides in April and October do not have assigned leaders, do not have a planned route and do not require advance sign-ups (because no one is "in charge"). Due to often unpredictable weather during those months, distance and route is determined by whomever shows up. Only the start/meeting site is predetermined. There may be one or more groups and/or destinations.

    • Bad weather (current or imminent): most likely cancels ride

    Where to Start, Park, and Ride

    • Parking/Start – In the field below the Old Round Church in Richmond (see map). Do not park on the paved road next to the Round Church
    • Rides vary. Links to some routes are listed below but become familiar with the roads beforehand in case of separation from the group. If you decide to drop out or change your route, let someone know beforehand.
