East Montpelier-Calais Country Ride

East Montpelier Park and Ride
Address: 110 VT-14, East Montpelier, VT 05651, USA

Enjoy a scenic 34-mile (S) tour with over 3,400 feet of climbing through the countryside of Hilary's childhood stomping grounds of East Montpelier and Calais as we explore lovely, fun, and HILLY gravel roads in the area. Maple Corner Community Store is at mile 24 and the Adamant Coop at mile 29. The route is a figure eight so it is possible to do a 20 mile ride that is also lovely, hilly, and passes both stores  Leaders will be riding retired mountain bikes with low tread tires and will do the long loop.

  • October 4, 2020 10:00 am - October 4, 2020 10:05 am

In April and October we normally have leaderless rides from a set location.  We will not be holding these rides this year due to Covid-19 but if anyone is interested in leading a ride please contact Phyl@together.net .

Informal touring ride. Touring rides in April and October do not have assigned leaders and do not have a planned route. Due to often unpredictable weather during those months, distance and route is determined by whomever shows up. Only the start/meeting site is predetermined. There may be one or more groups and/or destinations.

No valid "end" times are listed for touring rides because of differences in riders' speed and distance traveled.
